![]() I don’t care that I was doing billions of damage per hit. I hopped on to d3 the other day for a few minutes and had a blast murdering a normal rift on my monk. But diablo 4 is making me change my mind about that. I used to be a big advocate of keeping power creep down in video games lest it turns into a game that trivializes old content, makes the game pump out huge numbers, and any other number of things. It is progression, simple as that which is why some people like me play these games. The Iron Golem summoned is very frail when pitted against the opponents found in Hell, especially considering it cannot benefit from the various skills and synergies Necromancers have, so it is of limited value. Iron Maiden is likely to not be useful either, given that all enemies in Hell have very high physical resistances and large health pools compared to their damage output.Dont see why people have an issue with the damage numbers, its fun to keep progressing and see how high your damage can get in D3. ![]() However, since the level required to wear Metalgrid is very high, players are nearly guaranteed to be in Hell Difficulty by the time they can wear it. ![]() It also offers an extremely large flat attack rating boost. Defensively, Metalgrid is useful too, bestowing potentially the best increase to Resistances and Defense out of any amulet in the game. With charges for a very high level Iron Golem together with Iron Maiden, Metalgrid lives up to its name by cursing enemies to receive quite a bit of damage they inflict back. Metalgrid is a unique amulet from Diablo II.
